Creativity is a life-long
pursuit for Judy Westegaard. Her design interests are as varied as
her skills. Scenic design and painting for the theater, interior
design, sculpting, writing, folk art and fine art painting are all
part of her creative experience.
A long-time member of the Society of Decorative Painting,
Judy achieved the Certified Decorative Artist award in 1983. Her artwork
has won awards at numerous art shows. She has written many books,
a monthly magazine column and designed products for the craft and
gift industry. Judy continues to work as a travel teacher,
spokesperson, and editorial consultant.
Judy’s hand-painted Christmas
ornaments are part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institute
and have graced the White House Christmas trees of the Reagan, George
Bush Sr., Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, the Library of
Congress and the Blair House. |
